Routine GP appointments
Please pre-book either a telephone or a face to face appointment, with online or by phone. We aim to have routine telephone appointments available within 5 working days, and face to face appointments within 10 working days. The cost and workload pressures we are currently facing have dictated these targets. We would welcome greater funding into General Practice which would enable us to provide you with more appointments. To support us in this then please consider supporting the Royal College of GPs campaign Put Patients First.
Same day service with the GP/ACP
If you are unwell, have got worse recently, or think you may get worse and you feel need a same day service: then please phone before 11am, a GP or ACP will call you back with phone advice or a suitable appointment. After 11am, our same day service is only for patients who are unwell and at risk of admission to hospital.
Practice nurse appointments
These can be booked by calling the practice, and also via our website or the NHS App for those who are registered.
We aim to offer a routine appointments with the Practice Nurse within 10 working days, and with the Healthcare Assistant within 5 working days.
Virtual clinical pharmacist service
This is a telephone appointment for patients who: need to speak to a pharmacist regarding a medication issue; but don’t need to come to the surgery. The pharmacists are able to prescribe and organise prescriptions electronically.
Virtual musculoskeletal (MSK) service
This is a telephone appointment for patients who need to speak to an advanced physiotherapist regarding muscle and joint problems. They will issue advice and where appropriate arrange a follow up.
Healthy Minds: a virtual mental health support service
This is a telephone appointment for patients aged 18 and over who would like help with emotional wellbeing. It will provide a 20minute telephone consultation with Healthy Minds Practitioners who will be able to offer support for patients experiencing low mood, stress or anxiety. They will offer support, explore and develop coping strategies and offer signposting and recommend other support services.
Please speak to our Patient Support Team to book one of these appointments.
If you are more than 10 minutes late, the clinician may ask you to wait till the end, or to rebook.
If you cannot attend an appointment please let us know as soon as possible in order for the slot to be given to someone else. We send reminder texts the day before your appointment: you can reply to this text to cancel yur appointment.
