Our modern and spacious building meets all access requirements.

Reception is on the ground floor. It is always difficult to retain confidentiality at the front desk. Please respect the privacy of the person in front you, and queue behind the sign. There is also a private interview room: please at the desk if you prefer to talk there.

The consulting rooms are on the ground floor and 2nd floor. Please allow time to arrive for your appointment, as it does take time to reach the consulting rooms!

There is a waiting room on both floors. If you are arriving for an appointment, please use the check-in screen in the ground floor waiting area because it will tell you which floor to wait on. Floors are colour coded: ground floor is purple; 2nd floor is green.

Lift: There is a lift. If you are able to, then please use the stairs instead as all our staff have pledged to. Small changes like this can make a difference to our wellbeing.

Toilets: there are toilets adjacent to the waiting rooms on both floors.

Water: If you need a drink of water while you are with us, please ask a member of staff who will be happy to fetch you one.

Travelling to The Practice
Bus routes: buses 2 and 3 from Chapel Allerton heading south, into the city centre, stop almost outside the practice on the same side of the road.
Buses 12 and 13 from the city centre heading north, into Chapel Allerton, stop a 100 yards up the road, on the other side of the road.

Bike parking: there are bike racks at both sides of the rear of the building (ie near the pedestrian entrance and also on the other, car park, side).

Car parking: We encourage patients and staff to walk to the practice if possible. If you are travelling to the practice by car then street parking is available. You can park on Chapeltown Road (including in the bus lane but only after 9.30am), or on the streets behind Chapeltown Road on the opposite side from our building. There is a 5 minute drop-off zone in the front of our building. We have limited disabled car parking in the staff car park : drive down the right hand side of the building and press the buzzer at the barrier. You must display your blue badge please.
111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

In case of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999.
There are now routine appointments available on Saturday and Sunday morning from 9am-12pm available through our extended access service at:

Rutland Lodge Medical Practice, Scott Hall Road, Leeds, LS7 3DR

This increased availability is an extension of the services offered by your practice and is provided by a range of local clinicians including GPs, nurses and health care assistants.

Please note, this is not a walk-in service – you still need to make an appointment. Appointments can be made either via your own GP practice or by calling the extended access team on 0113 221 3540 between 9am and 12pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Extended Access appointments are for routine general practice issues and not for urgent care. If your practice is closed and you are unwell please call NHS 111.
