If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This should be at least 8 weeks before travel. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 8 weeks before you travel, so there is time for you to have all the vaccines you need to keep you safe.
Some travel vaccines are not available on the NHS, only privately and so incur a charge. We no longer provide any private travel vaccinations as of April 2020, and you will be advised to go to a private vaccinations clinic. We are only able to provide travel vaccines which are available through the NHS.

Our clinical team has both GPs and Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP Sharon Dawson and ACP Sharon Gill) . ACPs have done a Master level qualification and can diagnose, prescribe medications, and refer you to a consultant or other services as appropriate.
Appointments with the clinical team are usually 10 minutes to discuss one reason, please ask if you would a longer appointment.
It is helpful to think beforehand about what you want to say and what you want to gain from the appointment. The GP or ACP will explore your expectations, so they understand what you want. They will then agree a care or treatment plan jointly with you, ensuring that you understand the choices and supporting you to decide.
