Advanced Clinical Practitioners have a Masters level qualification. They can diagnose, prescribe and make referrals.

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses.

They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, dressings, cervical cancer screening. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions: asthma, lung disease, diabetes, and heart disease. They follow up with patients after certain routine blood tests including raised HBA1C (sugar levels), and if tests show that you have a raised risk of cardio-vascular disease.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), ECG tests, hypertension annual reviews (annual review of high bloods pressure), NHS healthchecks & certain dressings. They also carry out flu vaccinations and routine B12 vaccinations.
